I installed a VPN connection thru the "Configure and Enable Routing
and Remote Access" with Administrative Tools on our Windows 2000 Advanced Server. I built the connectoid, but when I try to connect from our remote location that is using a DSL modem, I am getting a Error 721 message at the point where authentication is happening.
I looked in the Log, and it has this line: ( On-Error Event ErrorCode =721
Error Source = RAS)
So does anyone know if RAS actually needs to be running on the Windows 2000
Server at our home location? We do not ahve it running currently becuase it interfered with our Excahnge server, which is also running on this same server.
Has anyone that has been down this road before please let me know what steps we need to complete to actually get a VPN connection to authenticate and connect to our Windows 2000 Server?
I appreciate your kind assistance with this. Thank You
