Hello!
This is my current setup.

Conn1 -> Router 1 [192.168.1.1, [clients 192.168.1.XXX]
[mask 255.255.255.0]
[server 192.168.1.116]

Conn2 -> Router 2 [192.168.0.1, clients 192.168.0.XXX]
[mask 255.255.255.0]

Server is running Windows Server 2003 Enterprise SP1

Clients are a mix of windows XP and Vista buisiness.

Connection 1 and connection 2 are totally different, and both routers have totally different WAN ip's. Both routers are RIP capable.

Can anyone help me create the bridge?

What i want the bridge to do:

Client 192.168.1.XXX [share files with] client 192.168.0.XXX

I do not need to share WAN connections. Just files between the two LAN's.

Thanks in advance

-Bret

EDIT: The following materials are available to me if they are any help.
Crossover and patch cables.
A 5 port switch
A linksys router
And i can configure the server [192.168.1.116] if it will help.

The easiest way is to add a route from one subnet to the other in each router.

If the Server is dual homed with an address on each subnet, you can add the routes to the server.

The best solution is to put shared resources on the server, not the client machines. Then there is no need for the clients on one subnet to access the clients on the other.

I need to interconnect clients for jabber and remote desktop services.. How would i put a route between two subnets?

It depends upon the model router involved.
Read their documentation about setting up static routes.

Routing is too complex a subject to handle via forum posts.
If the documentation is not self explanatory, I suggest you contract with someone who can perform the task on-site.

Ahh so static routes. Okay. I'll give that a try and let you know. So i just need to connect the subnets.
