Hi, I need some help setting up internet connection sharing, on XP pro.
I have set up an ad hoc wireless connection on my laptop. I want to share my LAN connection with my friend over wireless. I'm on a university IT network.
The adhoc connection works fine, and I've shared my LAN with wireless. The friend's laptop can connect, and can get access to my local university (myuni.ac.uk) domain, but not to any outside domains (eg google.com).
I've had this working in the past, so I don't know why the client laptop is restricted to local sites only. If anyone can help me figure it out I'd be grateful
Obviously on my own laptop I can access all pages happily in firefox. The proxy settings (auto) on the client laptop are the same as on my LAN connected laptop.
