Hi
What considerations I need to know before moving to a new facility. I need to move some servers to a nother locations and would like to have some feedback from the experts to list the considerations before moving to the new facility to review them and to be prepared for the move. I am not a network engeneer. so please help

some considerations that I thought of:
1. To make sure there is a Network personal in case there is a need for help
2. Check the room where the servers be located, if there is an aircondition
3.etc
4.etc the rest I am not sure what are they.

Thanks for your help

Check for these also....

1) enough power to handle the servers you are moving.
2) network connections for your servers
3) air conditioning
4) enough room in the designated "server rm" for your servers. This is physical size of room, size of servers, any racks you may be moving.
5) Working telephone in server room. In case you have problems and need to call for help
6) Will the be UPS or redundant power supplies for the servers
7) security of area. Who has keys or access codes
8) Do you have access to the area prior to move date so you can inspect the area and move the servers
9) Designate who will move the servers. IT personnel or movers.
10) Is the network already setup and functional prior to the move date

Hope this helps. I've done lots of these. If you have any more questions just email me at Netgod3@aol.com

Donna
