NT4 / Network Problem

Intermmitant network connect problems on our LAN...

The common problem

"Network drive connection lost"

The applications

Word , Excel and Access

The error message from Access

Disk or Network erorr. (Error 3043)

The error message from Word and Excel

Simply "network path not found"

The Temparary fix

Shut down the application and re-open and all ok again.

The effects of this

All work from last save is lost.

This Problem appears to effect anyone - anytime during the day, no one
Workstation in particular.

We run NT4 servers - SP5 and NT4 Workstations - SP4 tried SP6a on a select
few workstations but problem still occurs

Office 98 SP2

Any ideas>>??

Could do with some information about your LAN i.e. Servers plugged into Switches, Hubs, etc and how are the applications shared? Have they been installed with SMS Package command Manager? etc etc.
