Have a new installation of RAS on dedicated dialin server using RocketPort Multiport Serial Cards, Windows 95 clients with US Robotic 56K internal modems. Users are being disconnected with Event ID: 20010, The user connected to port COM3 has been disconnected due to inactivity. This happens for all COM ports. The selection about inactivity on the client side is gray, so assume they should always be active.

Any ideas why they are going inactive and what I can do about it.

Thanks,

Bill Kuhl

Bill,

I know this may sound condescending, but I don't mean it to be. Have you checked the timeout values on the server for all client sessions? Sounds like that is where it is set to me and the clients have not been given permissions to change that value, hence the selection is gray.
