I have NT Server 4 running with 2 NICs. There is a Cable feed coming into one of the NICs, and the other goes to a hub. I am allocated several IP addys of which I must use 1 of on this NT Server. The incoming Cable connection uses DHCP with a netmask of 255.255.255.0 If I try to assign my second NIC a static IP, it will not ping anything! How can I get this Static IP assigned such that it will ping out? Is the problem in my subnetting? The netmask for my IPs is 255.255.255.248
I have exhausted my knowledge, I hope someone else can help!
Thank you
See article Q123024 at technet. Internal Nic=No gateway address
Clients gateway is internal nic IP address. Hope that helps
