An existing RAS server was set up as a member server (Windows NT 4.0). The server was reinstalled in attempt to make it a PDC and all original
RAS configurations were used. The RAS functionality was restored the first time, however, it had to be reinstalled again because it was brought up
as a PDC and not a BDC so it was recognized as and NT Workstation in server manager. When NT was reinstalled again and the server brought up
as a BDC the RAS connection only allowed access to the RAS server itself. The RAS client cannot ping any device outside of the RAS server.
The RAS server can however ping all devices on the WAN. The only thing to my knowledge that has changed is that service pack 5 was applied to
the RAS server. Can this or the driver used for the integrated Ethernet NIC (Compaq 10/100 fast ether.) be affecting my connection?
PLEASE HELP
Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
