DCOM and Firewalls

Hello,
Does anyone have experience with configuration of DCOM and firewalls? We are subject to a hosting enviroments' security policy which has firewalls both at the Internet edge in front of our web farm and also between the web farm and the application servers. The app servers need to run DCOM objects that open random ports when responding to requests from the web farm through the back end firewall.

Any thoughts?

Consider using an Arrowpoint load balancer to create a port mapping function that maps random port numbers into a smaller set of well known (to you anyway)
ports that the security people will allow through the firewall.
