I have a 3com NBII screen router with 2 FDDI DAS. In HP Openview it shows me that the router is down and it gives me the mac addresses of the two FDDI ports. At the same time I cant rconsole from our main location to another remote location, we are using Netware and regular ipx/spx. The remote location can rconsole to the main site though. IP is also bound to those ports and it is working perfectly. IS there a problem with the IPX part of the router? no filters are set. I need help, does anyone know a good 3com consultant???

You may have an configuration issue with the router on your side. You say the router/rconsole client on the other side can get to you but you cant get to them. Your most likely issue is going to be a fddi address issue on your router. When using FDDI, the mac addresses reverse. Hope this helps.
